My wife and I ordered this TV stand for our living rooms 42 LCD TV. The stand arrived with an intact box in good shape, but what a surprise when I opened the box and removed the stand. There were obvious flaws and dings, scatches, and two very large chunks of the veneer missing. It gets more surprising.....the top veneered cross member over the open shelf had been glued in during manufacturing upside down making assembly impossible. What was most appauling was that it looked as though this cross member had broken off at some time during the manufacturing of the stand and a repair was attempted as the inside of the upside down cross member had been clumsily/weakly stapled in placed! Too bad they stapled it back in upside down!! Needless to say we contacted Amazon and we are returning the item. I would definitely be wary of purchasing anything from this manufacturer as it appears that their quality control is very poor. This is too bad as the design is very nice and the color of the veneer is quite nice. Buy at your own risk!!
