When used with Elinchrom RX series equipment, from the remote you have complete control of power output, modeling lights all from camera position. The Skyport Speed Wireless Transmitter is redesigned to be more ergonomic and give better performance. The new case design helps eliminate accidentally turning the unit on and the LED indicator lights show if the unit is on, or needs recharging. Offering 4 workgroups with eight channels each helps eliminate interference and offers flexibility. Larger group sliders are easier to operate while a thumb wheel locks the unit securely to the top of your camera. Additionally the transmitter ��s hot shoe adds an extra contact bar to help eliminate misfires. New design of the battery drawer ensures that the battery will always go in the correct direction. This unit offers a 20% increase in shooting distance from the original Skyport units. A high sync speed is capable with this offering speeds of up to 1/280. Auto shut off helps preserve power when not in use. The Skyport RX Speed Receiver is compatible with Elinchrom and any other studio and battery flash brands. The new ergonomic design and larger sliders make this unit easy to set and use. Skyport Receiver ��s internal, rechargeable Li-Ion battery provides approximately 30 hours of operation. Bought these to pair with the Elinchrom EL 10287 Ranger RX Speed AS Set with A Head, Reflector, Varistar 2 Batteries and Ranger Case that we ordered at the same time from Amazon. After being a longtime user of the PocketWizard PWP-TR 801-125 PLUS II Transceiver - Black for off camera flash work, these are a dream to be able to control the flash output from the camera instead of having to swim inside the softbox to find the flash controls. Also love the fact that they're much more streamlined on top of the camera compared to the PocketWizards. So far no complaints other than the fact that the transmitter uses a watch-style battery instead of something standard like AAA or AA so you need to have one with you just in case.
