I have read a lot about this item and seen some negative reviews. I'm here to say that this scope is great. The problem people are having with this scope is simple; the age of the rifle there mounting it to. This scope is designed to replicate a 1860's scope not a modern day rail system scope. it works off of dove tail notches and keys, a 1800 design feature found on common rifle sight mounting. The individuals that had the complains are having to contact a gunsmith because there weapons are to modern for this sight. I had this sight up and ready to go in 45 minutes and was very please with the results.
