We are proud to Introduce our new 12' Carbon Fiber boom pole for Professional Action recording. This new version of Carbon Fiber boom poles comes with 3/8x16 thread screws on the first end of the pole. The XLR cable in the Boom pole has male and female connectors and eliminates the hassle of messy cables or the need for extra connections.

This New Carbon-Fiber boom poles comes in three Collapsible sections and extends up to 12' and can be set for any length from 4' - 12'.

This pole is precision machined and requires no assembly.

Wind across a microphone causes distortion and unwanted noise for videographers and nature recorders while taping outside. The purpose of the microphone 'blimp' is to attenuate the wind noise without interfering with the desired sound.

Blimp systems differ from the other forms of wind protection because they are complete systems with mounting hardware, an external casing, and exterior wind buffering fur. Instead of layering foam and other materials directly on the microphone itself, they create an open chamber of space around the microphone. So even in high-wind situations, the microphone sits in a chamber with still air around it. The outside layer of the blimp is often long synthetic hair, to diffuse wind. The walls of the exterior of the blimp are made of a tight mesh material to further diffuse the rushing air. These systems are very versatile because you can remove the exterior fur, or even the blimp's casing when they're not needed. The interior is hollow, and the microphone resides in the center on an internal shock mount.

A complete windshield and shock mounting accessory, our Blimp Windshield Suspension System is designed to accommodate most shotgun microphones up to 18" in length and 1" in diameter.

This Windshield System is comprised of a large basket style windshield with Screw in type of End caps, a shock mount suspension that holds the microphone inside the windshield.

Pole is decently light and works well with no handling noise (assuming you know how to handle it) I've used it on set nearly everyday for a year and it has held up.

A few gripes. The glue used to hole the plastic connectors on the blimp didn't stick so I have to pop it back together from time to time. The stabilization system works best with a short mic but I have used my ME67 with acceptable results. The XLR connector on mine was very snug but worked. So far I have not been able to find replacement parts for the stabilizer so I've had to jerry rig it.

I paid $375 for mine and it was worth it. If you're starting out I would get this!
