Bought this to use as a second mic on a high gain guitar rig. After many reviews and listening tests over the net I basically went with this mic without having one physically to test myself. Taking the chance was worth it as this mic has given me the sound I was looking for in a 2 mic setup for the high gain sound. The main use for me is rock rhythms, licks, and solos and it adds some body, and a slightly compressed sound to the guitar which is nice on it's own (slightly mellow on the high end), but really comes into focus when used with a Beta 57 or Sennheiser e906 combo. Have now had the chance to try it for a clean guitar sound as well and it was my preferred single mic when compared to a 57, Beta 57, and Sennheiser e906. Can't wait to try it in different applications now. Worth the small investment.
