The Adam Equipment CBC 16a counting scale has a capacity of 8,000g and an accuracy of 0.2g (also called readability), and a stainless steel weighing pan that is corrosion resistant and easy to clean. The scale can be operated using AC power or the built-in rechargeable battery, for up to 90 hours, offering full mobility in the field and when a power supply is hard to find. The auto off function can be enabled to power off the scale automatically after periods of inactivity to conserve power. The scale has an automatic external calibration function to ensure repeatable measurements. The integrated RS-232 port connects to a printer or PC for manual or automatic data recording with text in English, French, German, or Spanish.

Easy to read backlit display which comes on automatically when you place something on the scale or remove something from it. It comes with a rechargeable 12v sealed lead acid battery already installed which charges whenever the unit is plugged into an AC outlet. And the AC adapter seems to be of unusually high quality. Seems to be very accurate. The stainless steel top can be removed to reveal a plastic weighing surface if you so choose. It also has adjustable feet to level the machine and sight bubble to verify and monitor level. The power switch is on the right side on the bottom edge and is angled so it is easy to reach but can't be bumped accidentally. I would totally buy again (although I hope I don't need to anytime soon!)
